This is a great option if you’re looking for something short. The suspension bridge right at the beginning is a cool place to take photos. The trail itself is an easy stroll through the woods. You can see some neat vegetation along the way. It’s not the most exciting trail, but it’s definitely serene.
We love coming here. The fragrance of cedar smells so good, as you walk. You can walk a wooded small loop, after you cross the footbridge. I can't remember if there were any trails off of it. There's also a visitor center before the bridge, and a small store. It was definitely worth it to us, just to inhale the refreshing fragrance.
Very beautiful easy walk . Loved walking the bridge. Enjoyed exploring the little trail with views of magestic trees
Great walk (not hike) in the woods with interpretive signage along the way. The dirt loop trail is very well maintained and there are several spots to walk down to the river along the way. The best spot is close by / under the beautiful suspension bridge you traverse to start the trail.
If you want a peaceful walk in the woods, need to stretch your legs from the drive, this is the perfect spot for you!

This is the perfect easy trail to do when you want to stop and take a breather. Use the very clean public restrooms and take a walk on this 1 mile out and back trail by the river. There’s a water fall on this trail but I promise you don’t get too excited for it because it’s so small I wouldn’t call it a water fall lol otherwise everything is wonderful and I highly recommend checking it out.
This is a scenic hike that begins with a spectacular bridge crossing over the Skagit River. The trail isn’t grueling and the twin three year olds with me handled it without issue. There are a few hollow trees with cavities large enough to get inside. The mountain views you can see from everywhere on the trail are stunning. There are also picnic tables. We carried ours to get it into some shade and then ate lunch.
One of our favorite places to take an easy walk through the woods. Enter the trail from a beautiful, wide suspension bridge with gorgeous views of the river. From there the dirt trail goes through the woods, which is filled with not only cedars, but other evergreens. There are a couple of places where you can walk down to the riverbank. The trail loops through the woods and there are a number of interpretive signs along the way. If you're in the mood for a shady, scenic walk through the forest, this is the place!
Nice and easy trail through the forest to an old powerhouse. Some amazing cedar trees, I never knew cedars grew so high! The trail comes back along the river and back to the bridge. Certainly worth the 15min it takes to walk the trail. Make sure you park on the visitors parking area. The info center only has 30min parking and to leave there it’s one traffic that takes you out to the gorge powerhouse and then back to the parking lot.
