We were so pleased with our stay and would certainly return! The decor and furnishings were fun, very clean, great location/we walked to many great food spots, loved the front porch area for hanging out with a drink/people watching. and most of all the service was so friendly! Each doorman was so kind, especially Christian, and the bartender was so friendly too each night and he made a ‘mocktail’ for our daughters that made them smile.
Good location. Rooms were a little small but maybe to be expected in NYC. Wish they gave you water in the rooms instead of having to grab them from the front desk. Cocktail drinks at the bar are a bit expensive but the $30 free credit made it worthwhile. The rooftop bar is nice but can get quite busy.
Great place for the price. Really wish the rooms included a mini fridge & you have to pay to use most features of the TV. Very limited counter space in the bathroom.
In addition to the room charge you are charged $10 USD per guest in credit fees that must be spent by end of the day or it expires. Because our schedule was so packed we only ended up using 1 days worth of credit so the rest just went to waste. Which in our case was $90US wasted.

Very mixed bag
Pros: nice, clean rooms, friendly staff and service. Refunded my resort fee.
Cons:
The reason they refunded my resort fee is they didn’t tell me about the restaurant hours which while advertised as open for “lunch and dinner” is closed between 11am and 3pm? When exactly is lunch? Then they wouldn’t let me use it at 3pm on the day of my checkout was at 2pm so I asked for it to be refunded.
Pool and rooftop bar are completely separate entities from hotel even though elevators do take you there. Exorbitantly expensive ($150-$450 per person) just to get access and you have to enter from next door.
They honored my late checkout but didn’t inform cleaning staff, so they attempted to enter my room twice before my checkout.
Elevator inspection in the middle of the day caused very long wait times and full elevators to get downstairs from the 23rd floor. Once took so long (15 mins and two full elevators) we took stairs.

The Renaissance Hotel in Chelsea turned out to be an excellent choice for my stay. Its location is superb, with everything seeming to be within walking distance. The hotel itself was clean and luxurious, with an exceptional view from my room. Cleanliness was top-notch, something I greatly appreciated.
What added to the experience was the hotel bar. Often, hotel bars can be quite average, but this one stood out, offering good drinks and service. The staff at the Renaissance truly went above and beyond. They were incredibly friendly and even allowed us to leave our car in front of the hotel for 2 hours before departure so we could enjoy breakfast without any rush.
Their commitment to service, coupled with the convenience and comfort of the hotel, has left a lasting impression on me. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again at the Renaissance Hotel on my next visit to Chelsea. Their attention to detail and guest-oriented approach have made this a memorable stay. Highly recommended!

Spent a wonderful evening here while passing through NY. Amazing patio right out front. We had a drink from the bar and relaxed out there for most of the evening after dinner. We did not attend the club attached to the hotel, but it seems pretty lively. Would be good for those in their 20’s based on the groups we saw. The customer service and staff were always eager to help. The lobby consistently had fresh waters and snacks, making it very easy when on the go and travelling. The location and parking is great. We will be back! Thank you so much for an effortless stay!
I stayed at the Ren in May 2021 and forgot to write a review so here it is. Loved the design of the hotel and the rooms. They were spacious and have a great view over the city. I booked this hotel initially because of the pool however it was still closed during my visit. 🥲 The staff are great though, I managed to extend my stay and was there for a total of 8 nights. It was quite central to go walking around town. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Stayed for 4 nights on a business trip. Fantastic service from check in to check out. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable lounge / reception area, comfortable bed and clean / modern bathroom with everything I needed. Good location for midtown or downtown visits. My colleagues wish they booked this place instead of their hotel haha. Didn't try the breakfast, or hit the fitness center or rooftop bar. Nice views.
