The drive to get here is wonderful then when you arrive the massive building is just a site to behold. Lovely hiking and biking trails, lots of picnic areas. A great outdoor spot
Great park for a Sunday afternoon hike. Parking is a bit challenging. You need a discovery pass or you can pay there. The lodge used to be an old seminary school. It has been turned into a hotel with spa, restaurant and bar. It was interesting to walk through. Some beautiful artwork displayed
in the halls. There was a wedding going on when we were there. There are trails to hike and a park for kids. We took the North trail down to Lake Washington. Will come back and discover other trails.

Friendly state park. It’s a state park so it needs Discovery Pass, you can buy the pass there. It’s $10 for a single day and $30 for annual usage. All the trails are super friendly in my opinion. Short and shaded.
What an undiscovered (for me) gem. I have lived in W Wa my whole life, have driven near or by this park numerous times but had never stopped in... Had a grand day hiking the loop trail and identifying the wild plants and spent some time down by the lake. I can't wait to return
This is a great state park with all of the amenities you would expect. It feels a little "disjointed" with Bastyr University next door and the Lodge (a private hotel or something?) in the middle of it. Bad signage coming in, roads that dead end with no easy turnaround and parking that is very random it's just not well thought out. However, once you get past all of that the trails are nice and well marked. If you don't mind the incline the trip down to the waterfront and back is very pleasant.
A lot to discover in this state park. There are two trails to reach the beach by the lake. One is steep but shorter, the other is more comfortable to walk down.
Parking lots are just nearby the kids playground if you need to navigate on map. Discovery pass needed for parking.

Absolutely awesome park that my 6 year old loved! There's a playground for younger / smaller kids, and a larger + higher playground for 2 up.
Really fun and well thought out. Climbing wall, swings, tons of picnic benches, open field and awesome play structures. The bathrooms were heated to boot! 10/10!
