This is a great state park with all of the amenities you would expect. It feels a little "disjointed" with Bastyr University next door and the Lodge (a private hotel or something?) in the middle of it. Bad signage coming in, roads that dead end with no easy turnaround and parking that is very random it's just not well thought out. However, once you get past all of that the trails are nice and well marked. If you don't mind the incline the trip down to the waterfront and back is very pleasant.

Fun place to spend a few hours of old school pinball. You pay a set entry fee and then you can play all you want. It feels a bit expensive but if you add up all of the 25¢ / 50¢ games you play it works out to be not so bad. I must say it takes a bit of the fun out of winning a replay when replays are free but you still get the thrill of the "pop" when you win. Small selection of snacks and drinks, no outside food or drinks allowed.

Large wilderness area with multiple trails that criss cross throughout. Can get somewhat crowded and parking usually overflows into the street leading to the area. There are parking spots for horse trailers as there are a few horse trails but nowadays there are fewer and fewer because of the crowded trails. You can still find some solitude because of the sheer size of the park, though. While the trail intersections are clearly marked, go prepared with a map or cell phone unless you have a photographic memory as to where the trails will lead. This time of year there can be some snow as well.

This is a nice "park" that is really one long viewpoint above Puget Sound. Park in the parking lot and then walk along the sidewalk as you take in the views of West Seattle, Mt. Rainier, ferry boats, downtown Seattle and, of course, the water.

I'm sure this place is fabulous for some people but there are so many more picturesque parks on the island that make me bump this place down. Long beach with tons of driftwood, picnic area and a boat launch.
