Altesi is an exceptional Italian restaurant in New York City. The food is outstanding, offering authentic Italian flavors with an exquisite touch. Each dish, from the appetizers to the desserts, is a culinary delight. The service is impeccable and professional, making the dining experience truly enjoyable. If you're looking for a top-notch Italian restaurant with great food and exceptional service, Altesi is the place to go. Highly recommended!
Unfortunately I ignored an obvious clue. The place was empty on a Saturday at lunchtime. Empty. Worst food ever. I’ve never been to prison but I would assume their food would receive a 5 Star Michelin rating compared to this. Avoid this place. Chicken Parmesan was cold with some type of sauce on it topped with processed cheese.
You don't want to pay $15 for a coffee and $20 for water at this place. Additionally, the server was extremely rude and barely spoke English. 1 star deserved
One of the best pastas I have had the pleasure to enjoy. Service did not skip a beat. Will return.
Nice quiet location off of Maddison Ave.
Service is nice .Staff very friendly .
The outside of the restaurant can be very beautiful . The inside is this kinda modern space with not much character , in my opinion . It could totally be re done in the most spectacular way to really give it that Upper East Side Charm but that’s just my opinion .
The Pino Noir I had was nice and smooth.
The salad I had ( not in a complaining manner but ) it should have been renamed “ The Apple Salad “ because all I tasted was Apple . Which I don’t mind because the Apple was cut so nice and I do like Apple . But the salad had other ingredients in it that I did not even taste . Just straight Apple 🍎🍎🍎.
I had Lamb Chops for entree . It was a great serving but I have had better lamb chops in my life . It was certainly not the worst at all but I was really in the mood for fabulous Lamb Chops like at the St.Regis hotel or The Pierre Hotel and it was not on par with their cuisine quality . Again it was certainly fine and I have had much worse but it is what it is .
I would definitely try some other things like pastas and other meats . Dessert does look good here .
I would certainly come back , location is very good . Nice private and quiet .

Our reviews had over 36 million views last year. We do not get paid we just love to eat and have fun. We really loved Altesi Upper East Side (on 64th 2 doors off of Madison towards 5th Ave). Down just 6 steps to a lovely room that has been here serving some of the best Italian meals for over 25 years. The wait staff averages 15 years of service the reason is the great food makes all the diners so happy. We started with the Butternut Squash soup which had a slight sweet flavor from the squash. It was fantastic. We also had the calamari (flash fried to perfection with a great sauce) and the sauteed artichoke hearts "Jewish Style". They were really good and buttery. I had spaghetti and meatballs which was awesome. Some of the best meatballs I have ever had (sorry Mom!!!). Maria had the chicken which only had one bone. We were amazed at how juicy it was and this is a must have if you do not want pasta. All the desserts were great. There is no dessert menu, they just tell because it changes nightly. We got 3 and I suggest you do the same. We will come back here again soon. It is really great. Check out all of our reviews. If we do not like it we do no review it so all of the ones you see are places that are fantastic. Follow us if you like. We had over 36 million views so far this year and we thank you for that. I went to Altesi for lunch and it was delicious! I ordered the beef carpaccio for an appetizer which came out almost instantly. For my entre, I ordered the veal which was amazing. It was served with these mashed potatoes that were cooked with onion, string beans, and other ingredients that made them delicious. The melted mozzarella flavor complemented the veal perfectly.
The service was excellent. The waiters came and checked on us throughout our dining experience and made us feel welcome.

We randomly found this resturant around Central Park and let me just say, 10/10. The service, food, wine, and atmosphere was AMAZING. Please do yourself a favor and order the fettuccine with scallops and a bottle of the Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc. Oh and don’t forget the raspberry ice cream dessert.
