Big playground with lots of climbing options for bigger kids. The small children area is sparse, but has a couple slides and swinging robe apparatuses. Decent slides. The swings were mostly all broken - only 1 infant swing was operational. Adjacent basketball courts and skate park look fun for older people.
when my kid was on the swings he fall and bust his lip open
Howard University Community. Go Georgia Ave!
Banneker Playground, is a fun playground not much shade but is a good park.
Slides, ropes, swings... Plenty of activities. New ground cover for the playground. Skate park. No shade in summer. Tennis courts, bb court, baseball diamond. Litter is not horrible, but it usually present in warm weather.
Very nice area to walk though and exercise jog.
An oddly under-used and frequently empty playground. The electronic games & music structure is not functional.
