Townhouse from the 1300s restored and converted to a beer hall and museum. Go for lunch - it’s not busy at all. Had the snitzel with potatoes, and both light and dark beers. The food was very, very good. The beer is top also.
Always an Oktoberfest here. Good food and good beer plus superb service.
My wife has issues walking and it did not hinder us going upstairs as we were treated really nice by letting us use their private lift to take us to the second floor. Very human of them.

Extremely rude and abrasive waiter! We were seated on the stools facing the wall opposite the cash register. I asked if it was possible to move to a table for food, at which point he stuck his hand in my face followed by abrupt ‘NO’ and walked off.
Food took about an hour to come out as we believe he forgot about it as well as forgetting one beer order. We actually had to enquire about our food from barmen as the waiter continuously ignored us. Schnitzel was cold.
In the end he written out the bill on a piece of paper charging for more expensive meal and had the cheek to ask for tip!

Cosy little restaurant / pub in the city center right next to the beer museum. Dishes are traditional Bavarian, seating limited, service can be quite slow and a bit chaotic in the evening. Prices are above average.
Booked weeks in advance for dinner for two. We were dumped at the end of a table with another group of 6, when the table was already only meant for 6 people. Either they forgot our reservation or they have just atrocious service and don't care about small groups of two. We gave up trying to fit ourselves in the table and just left after a drink, despite it being a Saturday night and having no bookings elsewhere. I love eating out in different restaurants, have tried many in many cities and rarely reccomend against a restaurant - but I would strongly recommend against this one, especially if you aren't local to the city or are in a smaller group. Highly disappointing.
Had some drinks and dinner here and thoroughly enjoyed it! Our waiter was friendly and helpful, lovely atmosphere, beer was good and food was excellent. We had two different schnitzel dishes and they were fantastic. I agree with what another review said in that the service is a bit slow, but we weren't in any rush so didn't have a problem with it. Note: it's also cash only!
Best Schnitzel I've had in central Munich with a very reasonable price and amazing decor. The attention is a little slow, but otherwise this is the perfect place in the city.
