Nice spot. Little hard to fish with all the alge. Don't let your line sit too long. The turtles are good at stripping bait too and there's a lot. There are a lot of big carp. Hooked up on one. Self released at the bank but loads of fun. Bullhead and channel cat. Early morning seems the best. Santee Cooper rig to reduce the turtles and snags. For carp I used a bait feeder cage, #4 hair rig with fake corn. 1 oz weights worked well.
Had to clean up others trash on the bank. Stripped line, bait containers. Fishermen need to clean up after themselves. Trash cans are right there. Portapots are by the dock.

Fun place to fish for adults and children. Striped bass, crappie, catfish, shad, sunfish, shiners, carp, white perch, and yellow perch are among the fish that are fun to catch.
