Nice spot. Little hard to fish with all the alge. Don't let your line sit too long. The turtles are good at stripping bait too and there's a lot. There are a lot of big carp. Hooked up on one. Self released at the bank but loads of fun. Bullhead and channel cat. Early morning seems the best. Santee Cooper rig to reduce the turtles and snags. For carp I used a bait feeder cage, #4 hair rig with fake corn. 1 oz weights worked well.
Had to clean up others trash on the bank. Stripped line, bait containers. Fishermen need to clean up after themselves. Trash cans are right there. Portapots are by the dock.

Love stopping g here after a long ride down 270, 495 and the Parkway. Portapots available. Walk over to the kayak docks and out. Share you sandwich with the ducks and head back out into the madness of traffic after peacefully unwinding and some relief. Happy travels

1st time fishing there. Beautiful scenery. Water was up about 2 foot and fast. 4oz barely holding. Got skunked but still a beautiful day for December. Everyone I met was great for conversation, fishing tips, and some history. The trash tho.... Bank fishermen need to clean up after themselves! Shameful. These people love their river. Leave only footprints, and some catfish for me to catch.

Was there to see some bands. Venue is cool. Close to the parking garage. Forget street parking in that area. Take ear protection for bands. Think the sound man is deaf. Watched many move outside to listen to the set. Sound pretty clear and good out there. Lol
