Songbird Coffee has been on my radar for quite some time now but the hours make it more suitable for a lunch time visit than for breakfast. Two of their signature items are the curry rice and egg sandwiches which was being offered as a set during my visit.
The egg sandwich is superb with a fluffy and yummy egg and just the right amount of bread. They also have a chicken curry served with an egg with a runny yolk which was decent.
I would probably go back for their egg sandwiches if I were to visit again.

Cafe mit einladenden Designmöbel (das Cafe ist auch mit Songbird Design angeschrieben aussen) und tollen Speisen sowie Getränken. Die Mitarbeitenden waren sehr freundlich und konnten sich bestens mit uns auf Englisch unterhalten.
There was a short wait. We ended up in a bench for two in front of a window. The food and coffee were lovely.
Went in right at 10:30am opening. I know the egg sando gets all the hype, but I really liked the tuna olive sando (it had capers too). Paired with the honey yogurt and carrot, it was excellent. Recommend getting the half and half.
4/5 stars for the atmosphere because the single eater seats had a bit of a cubicle feel. Otherwise, it was a good place to have lunch.

Incredible lunch just across the road from the castle. Food was sensational. The egg sando is one the nicest things I have eaten! Defo recommend
The cafe opens at 10:30am, we reached early, it’s not so crowded. The main dishes are curry related, but my kids (11 to 13 years old) are looking for the eggs sandwiches, labelled as “Sand”… The dark roasted coffee is very nice, smooth and not bitter. Overall very good for my family, good for breakfast and brunch… 👍
Was recommended this place by a friend for its tamago sando and it’s absolutely the best. We went at lunch so tamago sando and curry were on offer. Mixed feelings about the curry but all thumbs up for sando.
Curry is not too spicy, which is good for me.
The sandwich which has an egg and coriander (cilantro) is obviously for coriander lovers.
The inside is very bright but I sit near window, so little bit cold. Anyway the food was very good.
