SONGBIRD COFFEE
2024 May 13
Songbird Coffee has been on my radar for quite some time now but the hours make it more suitable for a lunch time visit than for breakfast. Two of their signature items are the curry rice and egg sandwiches which was being offered as a set during my visit.
The egg sandwich is superb with a fluffy and yummy egg and just the right amount of bread. They also have a chicken curry served with an egg with a runny yolk which was decent.
I would probably go back for their egg sandwiches if I were to visit again.

Affordable and okay coffee. The place is popular with a working crowd, for takeaways or a quick coffee break. The seating inside are more like a standing bar area (like an Italian style espresso corner) with some high-chair seating and a couple tables outside for more conventional seating.
Jewish Museum

The Jewish Museum Frankfurt has a contemporary wing and part of it is housed in the former residence of the Rothschild family of Frankfurt. The architecture is interesting, but the layout can be a little strange as the exhibits starts from top to bottom and the signage does not quite help on the flow of the exhibits at the beginning.
Nonetheless, the presentation of the exhibits is interesting and employs some interesting techniques like playing with the opacity of the exhibits to the use of RFID tags to collect information of the exhibits.
It is a worthwhile trip to just explore the architecture alone on top of the interesting exhibits even if you do not know German (most of the wording are presented in both German and English as well). There is also a nice little cafe with a Jewish inspired cuisine as well.
