This Fountain used to be in a much better location at the North end of Victoria Square, where the water toy is now located.
I clearly remember seeing it when it was switched on by the Duke of Edinburgh in May 1968. That was a proud day.

This place is really nice to see a fountain in the central part of the city. Such a nice feeling to listen with the sound of water, relaxing and soothing. If ever in Adelaide cbd try and checked this out. Kida love too.
Very central in Adelaide CBD and a great tourist attraction with a lot of interesting landmarks around the fountain.
A relaxing rest area in the heart of Adelaide. Expansive area to just sit on the grass nearby and have some lunch. The fountain was beautiful.
It is always nice to have the sound of flowing water in city. I find this brings an opportunity to practice mindfulness to the area. The park wasn't too busy on the day we visited, and it was nice to sit under the shade of a tree next to the fountain and relax.
