Relatively new place with management still in the balancing act regarding inventory selection. Nice bakery section with freshly baked bread, boregi, wraps and more. Lack of variety in the external supply of bread was a disappointment. Only basic Bazlama and Pita were available. Pogaca was in the frozen section. Simmit and Lavash were in-house bakery section. Why not get bake small quantities of Katmer, Fatir and Gozleme?
Took the beef boregi home and my better half immediately discerned that the quality of the in-house bakery was far superior to the popular frozen equivalent.
Actually, I went to see if Kurut was available. It was and I did buy a packet! Many thanks but where can I get Fatir a la Turkiye?
The coffee section was a disappointment but the dominant brand, of course, was present.
The frozen desserts were in abundance as were the regional fizzy varieties.
The butcher's handiwork was nicely displayed with marbling somewhat visible in the various cuts of beef. Would love to see some Bosporus Bass though.
In short, a nice neighborhood store for some and a specialty store for the rest of us when we are in the experiment mood. Most importantly, earnestly hope that management can survive the churn.

The Turkish market in Dallas offers a rich variety of authentic goods, from traditional spices and teas to handcrafted textiles and ceramics. It’s a go-to spot for anyone seeking a taste of Turkish culture and cuisine. The market features fresh produce, imported delicacies, and specialty items, appealing to both the local Turkish community and curious shoppers. It’s a vibrant, welcoming space where you can experience the flavors and craftsmanship of Turkey, right in the heart of Dallas.
I bought gyro from Horizon Market. I asked the guy to pack the inside and outside separately since I was going to heat it up when I got home. I hadn’t even made dinner, and we were going to serve it to our guest. At least they could have packed the flatbread whole. Even a bird wouldn’t be full with this. I was embarrassed in front of my guest. We paid $30 for 2 person, and now I’m going out to buy bread.
I love the fact that it has many eastern and halal items. However, I am frustrated that it is overpriced, especially the checking and meat.
This is a very nice store with a nice variety of Middle Eastern foods (or Southeastern European foods) depending on whether you think of Turkey's largest city as Istanbul or Constantinople. It's clean and well stocked.
I have lived here for all the time this store has been opened and never noticed it until very recently. I don't know why. But I'm very upset about it. I would have shopped here dozens of times. I have missed having a store like this. 🥺 Ultimately this is my own fault, but the store NEEDS to have a sign closer to Independence to attract people's attention. Depending on how expensive the sign is, I would expect it to pay for itself very quickly.

Horizon is a well-organized, clean, and tidy store. The meat section is particularly neat and appears to be very well-prepared. They offer a wide variety of spices to meet all your needs. I highly recommend shopping at Horizon.
I like this Turkish market! You can find a lot of things from Turkey 🇹🇷! Clean and nice! Price is not bad!
authentic Turkish products, including spices, herbs, teas, Turkish delight, olive oils, various cheeses, pastries, bread, meats, canned goods, and fresh produce. They might also have specialty items like baklava, borek, Turkish coffee, and other regional delicacies. Additionally, many Turkish supermarkets cater to specific dietary needs, offering halal or vegetarian options.
