Our experience with United Airlines at LAX Terminal 7 on December 29th was appalling. We followed their text instructions to use the outdoor bag drop shortcut station at Door L2-03, only to face long delays and unprofessional staff. Despite being assured by a representative that we could drop our bags on time at this station and he urged us to stay in the line.

When it was finally our turn, the system displayed an error saying “the baggage tag has been printed” and he abruptly told us it was due to too late to drop our bags at this station and told us to find somebody else indoor. This contradicts the reassurances he gave earlier, leading to unnecessary delays. Inside, the front desk staff dismissed us and directed us to someone wearing a blue vest, who then rudely yelled at us to join another long line for “special assistance.” His dismissive and hostile behavior toward us, contrasted with his friendliness toward another customer, left us feeling discriminated against as Asians.

Eventually, another staff member in a blue vest listened to us and resolved the issue in less than five minutes. While we barely made our flight, one of our bags was delayed, adding to our frustration.

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. The outdoor and indoor baggage drop staff were unprofessional, misleading, and, frankly, appeared to treat customers unequally. While I understand the holiday season is busy, I expect staff to remain courteous, competent, and unbiased.

This experience has made me question my loyalty to United Airlines.

We have flown United Airlines short and long distances, domestically and outside the United States. Recently we took a very short flight between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Clearly this was a short flight at 45 minutes or so but matched all our recent experiences. United and most all domestic airlines now have degraded service and raised prices - they charge for everything. The ticket schemes now among all the airlines should be illegal. This started as we passed the bag check counters (going and coming) to see kiosk after kiosk and not a single employee actually tagging and checking bags. So, for the opportunity to pay a checked bag fee starting at $35, you can also print and attach your bag tag too. Fortunately, we only did carry-on. The aircraft we flew on each way (both 737) were dirty and uncomfortable. The airlines could take out a row or two and make the experience much more pleasant but profit is their only goal. I don't think any airline deserves the loyalty of a passenger who flies on a regular coach ticket. You may pay less but you will definitely get less. The gap between product, treatment and service of a regular coach and any upgraded ticket has never been greater. United and others could do better but they choose profit over product and service.

My like and dislike of United has been a Rollercoaster. They were great. Then they had a few years of bad customer service and unfriendly flight attendants, so I quit using them. This year, I had to fly United because no other options were available. Staff and flight attendants were friendly. When there was an issue, it was quickly resolved. More importantly, when SWA canceled all flights from LA to Houston, claiming weather, United still flew. There was no weather. Slight fog upon landing, but nothing else. I think this airline is more dependable than the others.

It's my favorite airline. I stick with United since they fly everywhere and the staff is top-notch and always welcoming and friendly.

I've only had great experiences traveling with them, and I fly a few times a year for work and pleasure.

Some crew members were 'ready' for a fight if a customer complains. I overheard a flight attendant said out loud that I could hear her two rows away that "If you don't like the service, go to Business Class!!!"
Wow, their union must be VERY powerful! Later, the chicken meals ran out and only pasta meals left,. The same attendant said to passengers who asked for chicken meals that "Tough, chicken meals ran out, and that's the way it is, do you want it or not?". I have premier status with UA so I choose to fly UA, but the crews were late to arrive at LAX, and delays are common with UA. Once I cash in all my mileage for a ticket, I'm getting out of UA services!

I love to Fly United. Staff are always friendly, knowledgeable and no real hiccups along my travel journeys with them. To find out they carry my fav whiskey on board was a special treat. In flight staffs thoughtful gesture for my 🎂 Birthday.. was a very pleasant surprise! 🥰 Thank you!

I recently flew with United Airlines, and the experience left me with a lot of positive impressions. The highlight of the flight was undoubtedly the exceptional service provided by the flight attendant, Barbara. What truly amazed me was that she recognized us three weeks after our last flight and greeted us personally on board with a warm smile. It’s rare to encounter such personalized service, and it made us feel incredibly valued as passengers. Barbara’s professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail were truly outstanding, and it’s clear that she takes great pride in her work.

The flight itself was smooth and comfortable, with the crew working diligently to ensure that everyone had a pleasant experience. The cabin was clean, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the overall vibe was calm and relaxing.

That said, I do believe there is room for improvement in the in-flight meal offerings. The food, while decent, was a bit on the basic side, and adding more variety to the menu could elevate the overall experience. I have no doubt that with a little more attention to the dining options, United Airlines could make its flights even more enjoyable.

In conclusion, while there are always areas to improve, my overall experience with United Airlines was positive, and the incredible service from the crew, particularly Barbara, truly stood out. I look forward to flying with United again in the future and hope to see them continue to enhance their services.

It was what one would expect for an airport. Staff and TSA were nice. A variety of places to eat. Clean. Interesting local art. There was a cop with a dog sniffing people in the terminal for I’m not sure what exactly.

There was this loud beeping noise in the terminal that would go on and off. So loud! Couldn’t get away from it. Not sure what that was about.

United has always given me a great flight - every time I’ve flown with them. I’ve arrived safely to every destination, even when landing in insane fog where we couldn’t see until about even with the tops of houses.

This airline is doing a great job. Within the last 2 months we have used United on our flys to Hawaii and Los Angeles. Their service is consistent. The staff on their counters and fly attendants are very friendly, approachable and helpful.

Also united keep you updated on your fly and everything related with it such as delates, connections etc.

Definitely booking upcoming trips with them because they are consisten with their business. Friendly staff in Hawaii, Las Vegas and this time in Los Angeles.

Flying in to see family from Florida to California. Having to take care of a baby girl and our personal belongings is already stressful. Having to collect our belongings including a car seat for our 10week old baby to find her 500$ car seat broken. Its damaged and now considered unsafe to use. We had no choice but to use the unsafe broken car seat that was given to us from their care for the ride home. We filed a claim and being compensated 250$. The car seat was a gift and because it was we are denied the full reimbursement looking for legal advice please send me a message!
