The little hill and the big hill are a great way to toppoff a shoreline walk around the island. Climbing the hill fom the south and exiting from the north provides a beautiful short walk with interesting vegatation, birds, and insects. . When leaving the hill from the north, it is a short walk to the big hill, which provides a spectacular view of the harbor and the Statue of Liberty. If interested, the north face of the hill can be climbed by scrambling over carefully placed bolders. An easier paved path is alsoavailable for less advenruous walkers.

Spied it from my kayak (see it at the beginning of the accompanying video) last weekend and did not know what to make of it. I have not been atop The Hills since 2019, before the pandemic and did not recall this. Fascinating, once you know how it was made and have that trigger what you think...until reading the description I thought it the ugliest garden storage shed ever created.
