Very disappointed in Peruvian restaurant I got half of chicken with rice and beans. First of all chicken is not fresh burnt very dry and no flavor. Rice and beans they should call rice and water from beans. Shrimp soup that is $18 not what I would expect not so fresh and luck of flavor. They have only one person in restaurant that busy with phone orders and there’s no time for people who seat inside.
One of my favorite places to get outstanding Spanish food. It was magnificent. The people are very welcoming, friendly, and excellent servers. Highly recommend to anyone. Worth the 1 hour train ride from the financial district 👍
I have been coming here off and on for over 10 years. I used to work in the area(queens blvd) and my coworkers and I; would always order from here for lunch. Everything was always fresh, flavorful and tasty! The sangria is also very good. When ever my friend and I visit here to dine in, we joke about putting the bottle of green sauce in our purse(that’s how good it is). The service is always prompt and friendly, as well.
I should have listened to the reviews. Not the most welcoming and clearly ignored as we walked in. Felt like I had to walk up to the bar to ask the lady if it was OK where we chose to sit because she kept starring at us (wife and child) while we chose our seating...I did in fact walk to the bar and ask if it was ok because the starring from a far and not welcoming customers in is unnecessary.
Maybe we made the wrong choice on the menu, but the food was not worth it. We were expecting a platter with the best of the Peruvian kitchen. However we got served a plate with nothing else than deepfried, cheap cuts of meat. Where is the love? The beef (stated on the menu) was not on there. Eventhough we mentioned, there was no compensation whatsoever. The desert was good, but not outstanding. We will probably not be back here. Staff was friendly. Restroom: super clean.
I go pick up my food I have no problems everything is full. I order on line and the little chunky Spanish lady keeps sending us a half empty rice. So I called kindly and asked her why is the rice only empty when I get it delivered through the app, but when I come pick up it's always how it should be and that's full. She got nasty right away and said if you want more rice you have to buy another rice. I said back nicely I shouldn't have to purchase another one just because your leaving it half way empty. I've been going here 2 years now and she's always nasty and has no manners. You really should think about getting rid of her, because i guarantee your losing customers and service because of her. Which in the long run leads to plenty of money lost.
The chicken was fresh and very delicious. I placed the order and the food was ready right away. Service was great as well. I highly recommend this restaurant!
I decided to leave an opinion here because I had the most delightful time in this place. Our amazing waitress was so sweet and attentive. Also very hardworking, I believe her name is Maya ( I might have spelled it wrong) It’s a small place but you won’t believe the amount of food they are packing and serving for the tables. Specially being Easter and in this busy environment she didn’t have a bad attitude or mess up anything. We had the Sangria which she recommended, the skirt steak, Tallarin Saltado, maduros and the delicious empanadas with pico de Gallo
she made very accurate suggestions because we loved it!
I had come over other Sundays and was very disappointed with the staff serving, wouldn’t be careful with the way she hold our plates and even put her fingers inside them couple of times. Even though the service wasn’t good we decided to give it a try again and it’s a good place !!!
We asked for mayas permission for this picture she said it was no problem. Will be back for more! 👀👀👀
