Pollo Campero

Grilled chicken: 10/10, a little citrusy but sooooo moist and delicious
Fried chicken: 9/10, the grilled had so much more flavor
Beans: 9/10, would order again
Yucca fries: 10/10, perfect sized fries
Campero sauce: 8/10, it tastes like a bbq/mustard aoli. Great with yucca fries!
Mac and cheese: 6/10
Coleslaw: 7/10

My mother and grandma went in for an early dinner at around 6pm on October 1st. She came home very disappointed about her visit to the restaurant. When she was waiting for her food, she had her mother sit at a table that was just recently unoccupied to wait for their food. An employee of the store ( we think the manager) came up and rudely moved my grandma and my mother from the table when they were already served their food and told them to stand and wait for a table. He was very rude and told my mother that if she had any issues that she could just eat at another store. This originally upset my mother but the restaurant and food was awful. The coleslaw tasted expired and the chicken was cold. The entire store was a pigsty and the manager was rude to everyone. We’ve been going to this location for years and have never had any issues. This manager was a terrible, rude and disrespectful person that should be removed from this location immediately.

My family and I went as a family road trip to enjoy Chicago and of course heard such great things about this place we just had to try it!
We ordered the 22 piece family meal and got Horchatas on the side to drink. The chicken was AMAZING!!! Crispy and juicy on the inside!!! Literally perfect!!
Our sides were really good too I highly recommend going and trying their food ❤️

Placed an order via uber eats I ordered 2 family sweet platains and they send 2 small side. I called their number which is a international number for all pollos camperos around the world instead of putting their local phone number. The operator gave me their local number i called them and the restaurant never pick up the phone ridiculous 😒

Me and my family came because we heard good things about this place and everything was amazing!!!!! Food and service excellent. One of the cashier Jorge was amazing to me and my family. I recommend 100% to come here. Muchas gracias jorge you were excellent!

The way the manager and staff handled my order was absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional! There was a large batch of fried chicken in front of us and they told us FOUR TIMES that our order was still not ready. We waited almost one hour for a take out order after they told us it would take 20 minutes. We also ordered a 12 piece family meal and the total was $50- they advertised $35 for a TWENTY piece meal and add 3 sides for $11 so when we asked to upgrade to this meal instead, they wanted to charge us $21 and couldn’t figure out how to complete a refund and said they cannot do that. We also wanted to order grilled chicken and were informed over the phone that their grill was broken but upon arrival, they had batches of grilled chicken. I’ll never come to this location again, maybe only if new employees and management are better able to handle situations like this. complete waste of $50 for soggy “fried” chicken!

Chicken sandwich I had was great not Dry it was perfect.. definitely coming back to try their other Food choices 😃

It's been a while since the last time I came here, even though the fried chicken taste good, doesn't come even close to the original Pollo Campero fried chicken from Guatemala which is the best in the world. I wish they made it the same.
