The culinary experience at this restaurant was outstanding! Each dish showcased an array of fresh ingredients, masterfully prepared to deliver a feast for the senses. The attention to detail was evident, with each course presenting a unique twist that set it apart. The myriad of flavors artfully combined to create a symphony of taste, offering an unparalleled gastronomic delight.
Really wonderful omakase spot. The chef was friendly and so was the waiter. The menu was fairly traditional omakase but well executed. Highlights were the sea bass, scallop and the lobster(one of the less traditional rolls).
The Omakase is spectacular. Melt in your mouth good. Our faves were the black cod, the o-toro, the scallop and the monfish liver. But everything is excellent. What an experience. Definitely will go back.
Amazing experience! Big variety of fish, techniques and all very fresh. Multiple dishes with uni and toro - my favourites! Presentation is stunning, delicious and well thought combinations with the garnishes/sauces. They have real wasabi!!
I checked the reviews before coming here and the only thing consistently mentioned in negative reviews is value and courtesy of staff. For me, 14 pieces of sushi, 5 sashimi, miso and dessert justifies the price completely. Especially when half include premium ingredients - perhaps people don’t understand market value for good quality seafood. The pieces were thick and generous. As for the staff - friendly and professional. Highly recommended :)

We are regular patrons of Yasu for their tasting menu. Securing a reservation ahead of time is highly recommended, as they have limited seating capacity. What truly sets Yasu apart is their exceptionally warm and welcoming service, which enhances the overall dining experience. The use of consistently fresh ingredients in their dishes is a testament to their commitment to quality. Additionally, we find their pricing to be quite reasonable for the exceptional culinary journey they offer.
Highly recommend!!! Food and services are all fantastic. Everything was so fresh!!! Especially I was so impressed by our chef's performances. Each sashimi and nigiri is a masterpiece!! I was a little worried because of some negative reviews here, but I went there with my family and we were all satisfied and impressed. I was really happy to pay for the price and the service fee. It was an honour to have the Japanese omakase from Japanese chef in Toronto. Thank you!!!
Amazing Omakaze Spot! The quality of sushi is outstanding and the variety of fish is very unique compared to other Omakaze locations. The restaurant has maybe 15-20 seats so it’s very intimate. Great for anniversary or special occasions only due to the high price point.
Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating due to a few allergies I had.
Great experience overall! Definitely recommend:)

I had an expectation and they met it! We reserved counter seats and the experience was great. Our chef was making for us and a dining table which meant we basically had a private chef. The sushi were great, there were some fish I've never had as sushi so it was surprising. Overall excellent experience but definitely on the expensive side.
