Reviews
I ended up at this restaurant after the vegan place I'd planned to visit was closed for the evening due to "unexpected circumstances."
Since I love Thai food and was already familiar with what I'd order, I figured what could go wrong.
Yikes.
I greeted the woman who would be my server (in Thai) upon arrival. Once seated, I asked a question or two. She seemed extremely annoyed with simple questions like, 'is there fish sauce in the curry?', so I avoided small talk.
My food arrived lukewarm and overly sweet. The lukewarm part was confusing. I was one of only two tables, and listened to them prepare the dish just before sending it out.
I flagged my serve down for soy sauce and chili to balance things out. She never returned. As I ate my cloying dinner, other tables arrived, and her demeanor was markedly different.
Two Caucasian couples took up a couple of tables, and a biracial girl of African descent took another.
In similar fashion to me, the server barely acknowledged the young woman and fawned over the two couples. In the span of 10 minutes, I knew about the couple's dog, the server's children who were studying abroad, etc.
I don't like to make things racial, but there was a clear difference in her behavior with me (a black woman) and the other person of African descent.
Though I only spent a few days in the Netherlands, I heard similar sentiments from others.
I'd rather not spend money on subpar food and poor treatment. Maybe she just didn't like serving tables of singles, but I doubt it. You couldn't pay me to return.
À manger n’importe où!
Déçu que ça n’existe pas en Suisse, mais à chaque voyage à Amsterdam j’y passe!
Il y’en a pour tout les goûts!
I will come back soon 😊😊
cant wait to eat here again 😊😊
you have the best food in ijburg
Flavors were great, selection excellent and execution right on spot.
Just an excellent evening, pleasant and in very good place.
It is a small place that doesn't look like much, but the food is incredible. Powerful and intense and bursting with flavor. Very affordable prices as well ♡
Would be great if they had Thai beer and also place itself a bit dated and crowded, but it’s not the major thing since we came for tasty food.
One of the notable aspects of Wok to Walk is their quick service. There is virtually no wait time, allowing you to satisfy your hunger promptly. The staff members are efficient and work diligently to prepare your order without delay.
While the restaurant itself may have limited seating with only two tables outside, the beauty of Amsterdam is that you can take your noodles and find a scenic spot by the canal. This allows you to enjoy the flavors served while taking in the picturesque surroundings and immersing yourself in the unique atmosphere of the city.
The variety of ingredients and sauces available at Wok to Walk is impressive. You have the freedom to customize your dish, selecting from an array of fresh vegetables, protein options, and flavorful sauces. This ensures that your noodles are tailored to your personal preferences, making each bite a delightful experience.
The portion sizes are generous, providing you with a satisfying meal that leaves you feeling full and content. The affordability of the menu is also worth mentioning, as Wok to Walk offers excellent value for the quality and quantity of food provided.
In conclusion, Wok to Walk in Amsterdam is a must-visit for noodle lovers. With their outstanding noodles made instantly, efficient service, and the option to enjoy your meal by the canal, it offers a delightful and memorable dining experience.
Review:
Lucius Seafood Restaurant in Amsterdam proved to be the perfect choice for our anniversary celebration. The charming ambiance, complemented by a stunning aquarium, set the stage for an unforgettable evening. The impeccable service added an extra layer of delight to the experience. While the flavors of the seafood dishes fell slightly short of my high expectations as an Indonesian seafood enthusiast, the overall fancy atmosphere and exceptional service made our anniversary celebration truly memorable.
All dishes are really tasty & fresh
Service is fast with a great customer relationship
There's fried rice, fried noodles. The taste is quite good. The portion is quite large for Asian size. The price is not too cheap.
Many outlets can be found around Amsterdam.
Will definitely visit again!
Everything we had was delicious, but my favorite was probably the quiche. Dessert was also tasty.
Of course, this is all enhanced by the presence of Pedro the cat, who visits from a nearby establishment. We were lucky enough to be seated next to Pedro's blanket, which meant we got to enjoy petting him and just being in his presence!
Reservations recommended for weekends.
Next to shoarma, the restaurant serves a variety of meat dishes. It has warm (stew) dishes, and grill dishes (adana kebab, köfte, mix grill and more).
Shoarma was amazing. Thinly sliced, perfectly cooked, and greatly seasoned. Along with garlic sauce, and some sambal, a great and filling dish.
taste 10/10
cleanliness 10/10
I highly recommend the place because the flavors are accurate and the dishes are very large.
Thank you very much friends for a perfect dinner.
The service was funny, sensitive and kind. The food spicy just perfect.
My recommendation curry red or green depends on your tolerance.
🫶 was a really happy moments of the day.
I tried the crab salad and can recommend it. Also the SuZushi roll is always a favorite.
PS. If you’re celiac like me (or gluten intolerant), this is an excellent choice. They have gluten free bread—or you can opt for without. Either way, they’re very accommodating and are very conscious of food restrictions.
Beers are a bit lacking of spontaneity though it makes sense they have the general big brand beers in a location like this.
Food is great, I took the marinated salmon bowl, a tad too much sauce and the wasabi mayo wasn't spicy at all, the lettuce could be a bit fresher but the tuna is delightful.
Portions are super big
The food taste really good and you start with a plate of bread with 3 dips that later you can use as sauce for whatever you order
My top choices are
Kofta
Shawarma
Kapsalon
Always take ayran as well
Down side the place might not be very appealing for some as its quite old Turkish decor
But the food and staff make up for it and all in all you get a nice big meal that will keep you full for the whole day
the lamb meat ball curry with potato and carrot served with fresh salad, fresh turkish bread and rice with pine nuts was absolutely yummy all for a grand price of euro 8.25!!!
