Really cool bar that we came across in DTLA. Really loved the vibe, the art (artsy creative vibes) and the space. They had a great DJ and pretty good drinks. It was pretty chill and relaxed the night we went - not a ton of people however we walked by on a Friday night and it was packed and looked like a great time. I will definitely keep this place in mind next time I'm in LA.

Stopped by for dinner before going to see a performance and had a great time! I've been to the National Harbor location and wanted to try the one in the city. Here are some of my takeaways:

Environment
It's a huge restaurant, two stories with plenty of dining space. The interior is beautiful - open floor plan with high ceilings and great architecture! Very welcoming with good energy. We went during the week so it wasn't really busy but I do suggest getting a reservation to make sure you have a place to seat.

Service
The service was great from the moment you walk in. They greet you warmly and make sure that you are served and get to your seat. They take their service serious and the servers constantly check on you through out your dining experience. Maybe a bit too much but i rather have too much then not at all which has also been my experience at other restaurants. Our served was great and attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.

Food and Drinks
We had a little bit of everything. The deviled eggs, burger and fries, chicken and waffles, mac and cheese and a desert that i can't remember (but i have pictures!). My friend enjoyed the chicken and waffles and the burger was pretty tasty. I'm a big mac and cheese fan this was pretty solid. Another stand out was the deviled eggs. Loved them. Overall the food was pretty good and I would definitely come back to try other things off the menu.

Overall
Overall had a good time at Succotash. The food was pretty good - above average I would say. A great place for a dinner date or catching up with friends. A beautiful space and great service. Definitely worth trying for yourself.

Came by French Truck while waiting for brunch reservations down the street. Really chill and relaxed coffee shop that met our needs. Here some thoughts

Environment
Really nice bright place in the french quarters Plenty of seating for catching up with friends or reading a good book or people watching in the wuarters.

Service
The service was good - nothing out of the ordinary. Operates like your normal coffee shop. You order at the counter, they make your order and call your name when it's ready. The baristas were friendly and accomodating.

Food and Drinks
I ordered a mocha that got the job done. It was made pretty well.

Overall
This was a great place to stop by while we were waiting to go to brunch. Great space to catch up with a friend and enjoy a good coffee. Plenty of space and was an pleasant calm to what can be a busy french quarter. Will have no problem stopping by this place again.

Came across this dope bar one late night in New Orleans and it did not disappoint. Very chill and low key with great drinks. Here are my takeaways:

Environment
Located right on the outskirts of the quarters, very low key and intimate. At night it's very chill and dim with good energy and a relaxed ambiance. It has a divy vibe - right when you walk in you'll see plenty of bar seating with with a few tables around the space. They also have pretty decent amount of outside seating right on the sidewalk. This seems like a place that you can easily become a regular at.

Service
The service was great. They had one bartender managing the full bar and she was doing a great job getting drinks out in a timely fashion. It was easy to order and get what you need.

Drinks
The cocktails were great and strong! For the quality and the price you can't beat it (especially compared to what I'm used to here in DC). This will definitely be a place I stop by next time I'm in New Orleans.

Overall
Great bar, great service and most importantly great quality drinks. Please stop by here as soon as you can. It will be a go to when I'm in the city.

Stopped by for lunch while visiting New Orleans. It was a great choice with a great view and great food. Here are some thoughts:

Environment
This space was huge. Tons of seating downstairs and seating upstairs with options to seat on the balcony. It's located right in the middle of the quarters and easy to access. When we were there it was plenty chill and relaxed, a beautiful space with great decor.

Service
The service was warm and welcoming. Our server made sure I had everything I needed and was very quick and efficient in providing service. Very friendly and made us feel like we were at home and not just visiting.

Food and Drinks
The food was pretty good. I had the gator poboy w/ fries and a side of hush puppies and my friends had the oysters.

gator po boy and fries -- the gator po boy was great! I'm now a big fan of gator. So tasty and delicious and will easily fill you up. Loved it. The fries were pretty good and crispy with good flavor.

hush puppies - They were decent. I can be particular about hush puppies so it probably just wasn't my preference.

Overall
Really enjoyed our time here. The food was good and I left curious to come back and try other things on their menu. Will definitely come back.
