My family and I have frequented this property for over 20 years now, and I truly enjoy visiting to recapture the feelings I had when I was kid and staying on property with my family during summer months. Recently, I visited the hotel after not having been on property since 2019, and I can definitely sense the changes imparted by its new management.

The Polo Lounge is a safe haven for my family, and we have to dine there whenever we're in town. Although during this recent visit, the welcome from the host staff was lack luster and they didn't look polished or genuinely happy to be there. The espresso martini I ordered with dinner tasted as if you were drinking rubbing alcohol, very unpleasant. Additionally, the restrooms near the Fountain Cafe were not clean and had full trash bins, and the towels weren't rolled (as they used to be) but just folded lazily.

Lastly, the gift shop. This was *the* best gift shop of any property I have stayed at, and even if I wasn't staying on property I took the time to visit it because it was truly that good. The international magazines, the ready-to-wear resort attire you could purchase, everything about its product selection was perfection. Now, it feels like a knick-knack shop. And why is the staff allowed to play music of their choice out loud? I don't visit the BHH to listen to reggaeton or Bad Bunny while I'm browsing the gift shop, let alone to listen to the gift shop staff talk about their college courses and homework aloud. It used to never be this way. Be polished, and be professional. I must say, the room rates do not correlate with the service standards thus far.

My only 5-star remark is Tony's excellent, anticipatory service while using Valet during our visit. He recognized my family upon arrival, and even took the time to park our car close by. He's absolutely wonderful and a gem.

This review won't impede my visiting of the property. Any happy, core memory I have from childhood is because of the Beverly Hills Hotel. However, it will change the brand's legacy and impression for returning and future customers if the care and keeping of its grounds and operations aren't maintained to a luxury capacity.
