St Alfege Park

More of a neglected graveyard than a park, but still a nice quiet spot to have lunch and get away from the crowds. There was a community safety patrol going through so I felt safe.

They have a good meal deal which is any sandwich, bag of potato chips, and a drink for £3.90. Plenty of options to choose from. I picked up lunch here several times and was always satisfied with the choices.
I've attended 2 conferences here- the food was phenomenal. Catering food is usually overly seasoned and too salty, but everything I had was perfect. The staff were friendly and did a great job of keeping the lines moving and refilling stuff as it ran out. The waitstaff were all very friendly as well.
Raritan Dog Park

Smallish dog park, could use some holes filled in and some grass seed but it's adequate for throwing a ball. Plenty of poop bags and trash cans. It has a double-entry "airlock" fence also. It's almost always empty which is good for obedience and off-leash training without distractions.
No parking but there's plenty of street parking on Tillman Street around the corner.
Avoid after rain or during the late winter/early spring; it's super muddy.

Nice spot. Park at the Tropey Complex and it's about 2.25 miles car to car. There's very few people around. Trail is a mixture of gravel, grass, and dirt, and is a good spot to walk, run, or bike. There is one area that is washed out and requires some careful stepping through a ditch.
Lots of birds, deer, and have even seen a fox. Does get buggy with deer flies during the summer.
