Photos taken at the edge of the wetland(near the bridge). Beautiful in winter but not safe in some places I think.
After taking almost the entirety of wildlife habitat in the area people take their pets here because why should wildlife have anywhere to live?
So many animals! I saw many different deer, heron, all kinds of birds, and got some wonderful pictures. The trails are beautiful and well maintained and it's a large area that takes a while to explore. Went 90 mins before sunset and stayed til just after sunset. Highly recommend and will be back.
Edit: do not go after heavy rain. There is lots of flooding and it's hard to get through some trails. Still love this place tho!

Maintained quiet flat trails. Access to the Rartian River and an old farm pond for fishing. I've seen several Deer, Fox, Raccoons, and Turkey. Nice views of the sunrise, sunset, and foliage. By far the nicest local trail system for Somerville & Finderne.
Nice spot. Park at the Tropey Complex and it's about 2.25 miles car to car. There's very few people around. Trail is a mixture of gravel, grass, and dirt, and is a good spot to walk, run, or bike. There is one area that is washed out and requires some careful stepping through a ditch.
Lots of birds, deer, and have even seen a fox. Does get buggy with deer flies during the summer.

Nice area to take your dog for a walk. You may see deer, foxes, geese and herons.
There are a lot of ticks!

I love this little local park. It's close by and flat. It's good for off leash dog walks and prepping my puppy to follow me on my bike. It's often empty which is great but just be aware that the wildlife tend to run the place. I've seen coyote, fox, hawks and turkey vultures so just be mindful to make a bit of noise to chase them off. I don't want my dogs big and small to get snatched up.
