Good Room

Surprisingly I had a really nice time here on a date. Granted I’ve had a lot of drinks. While I had a good experience, there are too many specific low reviews that I can see how this has bad reviews.
My cover was $20, I can’t imagine it being $30! I love the different rooms and all the smoke machines. There are definitely a few spots and hidden corners for good makeout sesh’s. The dj was really good. I went on a Friday around 11 and there wasn’t that many people. I was expecting it to be more crowded, so I’m not sure if I recommend. Great for a place to just dance and let loose.

Miss American Pie

Cute, classic american diner 70s style for pie. I got the blueberry and strawberry pie (called something?) & vanilla bean ice cream.
I wasn’t expecting the place to be kitschy so that was a lovely surprise. The pie itself was good, but there wasn’t anything special about it. I wasn’t overly obsessed. But I did really like the decorations and staff. I think the ice cream was breyers, can’t remember if they claim being homemade.
It was a cute experience and thought it can be really popular for families and kids. I recommend giving it a try if you enjoy the whole American vibe.

Super chill bar, my kinda place. I LOVE THE PINA COLADA. The bartender is nice and leaves you alone. I’ve been here a few times whenever I’m in the area.
Very affordable happy hour, but I like it without as well. I come here whenever I’m in the area. Also the seats are sooo comfy! I love coming here solo.

This happy hour deal is insane, that I will be coming back over and over again. The bartender was a grumpy cat but in the best way possible. He barely asks you any questions and you can keep to yourself.
The chairs are so comfortable and I love how dark it is 🥹 the old fashioned was so good! And for $9!?!? Chefs kiss.
Clear instructions on wifi. 🥲 I’ve made it! Highly, highly recommend.

Pinto Garden

Ehhh. For someone who has been to Bali & other Thai places in the city, this isn’t it for me. Extremely overpriced for the quality.
My friend had to ask for his drink 2x or so, and when it came out - it was still incorrect. From reading the reviews, maybe this is more of a brunch place than a dinner. Individual ratings for each:
Shishito Peppers: 2/5 - we had to put on salt ourselves. Missing flaky salt typically in this dish.
Moo Kem Tod 6/5 - this was my favorite dish!! It was so juicy and flavorful.
Wagyu Garlic Rice 3/5 - it was neither here nor there. I had to ask for hot sauce to add some spice to it. Didn’t hate it, didn’t love it. Was underwhelming.
Crab Fried Rice 4/5 - my friend had this & being from Baltimore, I thought the crab was surprisingly very good! However everything else was just okay. Again, nothing special.
Yellow Curry 4/5 - my other friend had this and it was good as well. Definitely better than mine. But didn’t think it was anything special.
Personally I wouldn’t recommend this to my friends, as I know some other Thai places that are better and half the price. But, if you are a brunch girlie and are there more for the IG photo ops place - then definitely try it out.
