I really like this trail, part of which rambles alongside the Nashua River, with some very pretty views and picnic tables and benches if you want to sit and enjoy the view. The one thing to be aware of is that it's VERY buggy in the summer and you'll want to bring your deep woods bug spray to ward off the mosquitos, as well as a wide-brimmed hat if you have one. They're pretty relentless. Other than that, a very cool spot for a relaxing walk or a vigorous hike.
I was looking for a new place to walk with my pup, and this was a really nice trail system. There were many different trails that split off from the main one, with fun twists and turns, ups and downs, cool rocky outcroppings and boulders, and marshy areas filled with wildlife. The one con for me was the noise from the highway (495), which is really loud at points, and really bothered my dog, who's very sensitive to loud noises. It also, for me, disrupts the serenity of the experience, which is the main reason we walk in the woods. It's still really enjoyable and worth a trip if you're looking for a fun new spot to explore.

I was just introduced to the beautiful spot. What a treasure. Lots of beautiful trees, flowers, and wonderful surprises within the trail system, which is well-marked, with maps and interesting and educational plaques located throughout.
Very pretty, clean, well-maintained park with wide paved paths to walk, jog, bike, or roller skate/blade. Great place to walk your dog on a leash. There's a cool dog park right across the street next to Farm Pond where dogs can roam leash-free. Cool skateboard park right across the street too. There's a nice playground for the kiddos at Cushing, porta potties for bathroom emergencies, and benches if you just want to sit and enjoy the sounds and sights of nature. A really lovely gem in downtown Framingham.
Flagg Hill

This is a really beautiful area. Heath Hen (access on Trefry Lane - Stow) and Flagg Hill ( access on Windermere Rd - Boxborough) conservation areas connect. There are abundant beautiful wooded trails lined with lush green ferns, open pastures dotted with colorful wildflowers, and paths that wind along ponds filled with blooming water lilies and marshes filled with wildlife. This was actually my first time visiting and I will definitely be back to explore more. It is more buggy in the wetter areas, especially on humid days like today. But with a little bug spray and a brisk pace, they don't bother you too much. Definitely worth a visit, or many visits as the seasons change.
