This was one of the only statues I wanted to experience on my trip to DC. I love Churchill and everything he stood for. As for the monument it is a bronze statue erected in 1966 by William M. McVey. It is not uncommon to see people leave flowers at the base of the statue as a way to pay respect. I would highly recommend coming here if you enjoy history as much as me. We got off at the Dupoint circle metro and walled the majority of the embassy row it will really allow you to take in all the sights that way.

This is a great memorial. It has a couple benches so you can take a break and enjoy the sculpture.The details on the statue are great it is really one of the best done statues in the city. But trust me if you are walking embassy row use these benches to take a rest and plan the rest of your walk you won't see many more.
