Walked in without a reservation at open and was fortunate to get immediately seated at a table. The ricotta crostini is truly a perfect dish - please order this when you come! The fennel in the ragu pasta makes the sauce sublime. The peach crisp dessert was the bow tied upon a fantastic dinner experience.

Like a vibrant Parisian restaurant - half woven bamboo seating with mosaic tiling, half red leather booths and wood-panelled walls. Our server and the bussers were extremely attentive and helpful.

Our server did not miss with his recommendations. The cranberry bread and fresh butter was perfect for starting the meal. The shrimps on the warm shrimp salad tasted like lobster. The almond trout was buttery and crunchy. The profiteroles, with the homemade banana vanilla ice cream and homemade chocolate sauce was truly decadent. And somehow the profiteroles maintained a light crisp exterior. Wonderful experience - would definitely come back!
The blind tasting menu (chef’s choice) is available in 5, 7, or 10 courses but 5 is more than enough to satiate even the biggest appetite. Each dish has a wonderful combination of flavours but what really sets this restaurant apart is the variety. The two of us ordered the 5 course and we were each served different dishes which allowed us to try a total of 10 dishes.

The menu starts with an amuse bouche, followed by a chilled seafood dish, a foie gras, meat, cheese, and then dessert.

My personal favourites of the night were the king oyster mushroom amuse bouche, the crab, the squab foie, the boar, the thea cheese, and the lemon tart.

Our server, who was excellent, suggested the City of Lights and Peachy Keen cocktails and he did not disappoint. Peachy Keen is especially great if you’re not too keen on the taste of alcohol.

Matcha sundae is full of textured toppings and delicious soft-serve. The mochi balls are soft, rice krispies add crunchiness, red bean and grass jelly are abundant, but the cake topping is a little dry. Lots of seating available.
Best value for local brunch downtown. The prices cannot be beat and the portions are very generous. That being said, although the French Toast and California Eggs Benedict dishes were tasty, they didn’t exactly stand out. The sausage is delicious but the potatoes are lacking. I found the hollandaise sauce to be a tad weak in flavour. Quick turnaround and friendly neighbourhood vibe.
