I went along today to settle up on a cluster of parking tickets that had gone past the date one can pay online and I did so in trepidation of the punishments detailed on the summonses: imprisonment, loss of license, massive fines. instead I found that all my dear city wanted were the dollars due. I had read reviews here that told me how mean the staff were. Well, the lady who served me couldn't have been sweeter and efficient. Admittedly, I have a English accent which had everything to do with it. But still, come on folks, if you know you're guilty and they give you complete absolution for pretty much the price of the original fine, how bitterly can one complain that they don't take credit cards? Unlike the tax office, they don't demand a banker's check from delinquents.

Wonderful little space. You can see so much in such surroundings because everything simply has to be chosen and placed with inordinate care in such close quarters. But believe it or not, the place is spacious compared to the broom closet they occupied before. The program is imaginative and devoted to serious artists, established or emerging.

A vital contemporary art gallery. I’ve seen them grow from their first beginnings and have reviewed a number of their exhibitions along the way. They should some wonderful artists including Elisabeth Kley and Katherine Bradford.
