A pretty cool church, free to enter. Don’t miss the cloister around the side! You can also get a lovely view of Basel around the back of the church.

A really wonderful collection of artifacts from ancient Egypt. You can download an audio guide and listen to it on your phone and with your own headphones. It’s quite a large collection. You start at the top story and work your way down. Expect to spend at least two hours.

One thing I appreciated about the museum was the respectful way they handle human remains. They were displayed separately and labeled so people could avoid if they wished. The separation also helped it feel more like a sacred and respectful place for the people, while still allowing us as living people to learn from the stories they have to tell.
Beautiful manor house in a quaint suburb of Paris. The gardens are large and peaceful and beautifully maintained. The house itself is also very nice and has an interesting history. It was like a mini Versailles experience without the crazy crowds. We went on a Friday on a beautiful spring day and just had a wonderful time.

We had to wait to get seated but it was Saturday afternoon so not the fault of the staff. They were incredibly quick at the turn around of tables and getting us seated. Menu was simple. I got the chocolate ice cream with whipped cream and it was some of the most delicious ice cream I’ve ever had. My husband got the chocolate cake and it was also great. It was a perfect treat on a warm afternoon.

Also they give you free water and there is a decent toilet available for use.
Picturesque town square. Lots of good shopping and good food. It’s a pedestrian zone and it’s easy to access all the big sites in Trier from this point. I’d love to come back and see the Christmas market!
