Beautiful open area with busy crowds. You could hear the nearby church bell quite loudly. Energetic atmosphere with people chatting, laughing and singing. You may find musicians playing violins and guitars singing loudly. Filled with culture and heritage, surrounded by building over hundreds of years old. Such a wonderful experience in the middle of one of the oldest cities in Europe, Trier in Germany.
Love going to Trier when I can. The Christmas market is very festive and offer a lot of interesting items. If you're not into shopping, the area has a lot of interesting and historical places to visit. THEY HAVE A LINDT CHOCOLATE HOUSE! If you're hungry and want a satisfying meal, try Burger house
The heart of the city of Trier, surrounded by old and classical/typical German houses where studs are noticeable.
It's a very nice location and there is usually a stand which serves white and red wine (not for a cheap price though).
Very beautiful area with lots of shops nearby.

Such a pretty square surrounded by colourful shops and restaurants. Must visit in Trier!
Picturesque town square. Lots of good shopping and good food. It’s a pedestrian zone and it’s easy to access all the big sites in Trier from this point. I’d love to come back and see the Christmas market!
Replica from the original from the 10th century. Represents the authority that markets could be held here. Nice to see that history is both preserved (the original is in the City Museum) and kept alive (by putting the replica).
Very nice square surrounded by many historic buildings. It is a pedestrian zone so shopping and walking around is a pleasure.
A fabulous square with excellent views of several of the city's monuments. It is also the site of the crux of Trier's Chistmas market. We have passed through here many times. Always something to see. Always something to do!!
