TGI Fridays
2024 Feb 08
Olive garden, Red Lobster, Applebee's, all of the times square restaurants have let me down over the years but TGI Fridays? Thank you for allowing me to relive the family restaurant experience of my youth.
Ranch is good, fries are crispy, couldn't really ask for more. Service was slow because there was a giant party upstairs but I can't really fault the staffing in this day and age. Servers were nice and polite and tables were clean.

One of the few places where the setting and service outshine the food. Oysters are shipped in daily and absolutely delicious. You can't go wrong with a gillardeau after alll, though the price reflects the quality of product.
The soups and salads are well executed but I found the fish lacking in flavor and the beef above what you would find from a mid range American steakhouse. It's not bad, but certainly not Peter lugers.
Overall the place is with a visit if only for the view, but be prepared to pay 3-500 RMB per person. I found the staff to be very considerate against both western and native mannerisms.
