Let me say upfront that I understand Covid has impacted operations, however it should not impact how a company leverages their own tracking system.
Amazing how a shipping company that is supposed to be Internationally acclaimed for their tracking system advertises false information.
Shipment scheduled for today. Supplier tells me Fedex will contact me to schedule delivery. So one would expect a call before today or maybe today if they are backed up.
The link shows (and still shows as of the time of this review) that it will be delivered by the end of the day. As I didn't receive a call I decided I should probably check (this delivery is 240 pounds on a pallet).
When I called I was told despite what the tracking says it won't be delivered until April 12th. Why you may ask? Because its residential and they don't have any trucks available until then. When I asked why they wouldn't let me know that they stated I have a link. When they finally directed me to the right person I was now told the link is meaningless and its only when the freight arrives to the local Fedex distribution. Then there's a new date which is unadvertised and I will be called on the day of the delivery.
Amazing. 3 years olds could design a better communication process.
Seriously. And this is the same company that I had studied a Case Study at University on how they revolutionized the tracking of packages. Sad..
