Kids Empire Manville

Great place! Wish we lived closer. Lots of space and never felt crowded. The cars weren’t working correctly which stunk, but the rest of the play areas, including the toddler area were tons of fun. Pay once and play all day.
Crayola Experience

We loved this. Yes it’s basically one big advertisement for their products, but as a teacher and mom who loves their products I don’t even care. Yes, there were several paid activities, but most of great activities are free. With your ticket you get two tokens and a card to exchange for a name your own crayon, model magic and a scribble scrubbie. You can also do lots of other included tasks like water color painting, make your own puzzles, spin art, making your own souvenir shaped crayons, and so much more. They have two playground, on for toddlers and one for kids up to 12. Overall we spent about 2.5 hours here and had we not wanted to leave for lunch my kids could have spent lots more time here. The gift shop also didn’t seem too outrageous. Didn’t get any food there but they seemed to have food/snack options throughout the experience. If you can avoid taking a stroller I would. Went on a Saturday and I was surprised to find it did not feel crowded at all and we did not have to wait more than a minute or two for any activity. The staff was all very friendly.
AMC Montgomery 16

Not as nice as the AMC in Georgetown with the recliners. However, the theater was clean and seemed updated. Bathrooms looked newish. The prices were also much lower than Georgetown so I was ok with the seats. They were comfortable and you could still reserve a specific seat (although finding the letter of the row was a bit of a challenge). Overall, it was great for kids and I liked saving money for a family of 4 going to the movies. I might still pick Georgetown to go to with just my husband or a friend without kids.
Frying Pan Farm Park

This place is great. It’s free and in the spring there’s lots of adorable baby animals. For an extra fee you can do a wagon ride or the carousel. They also sell some great jams and pickles. Plenty of parking. Cute playgrounds too. Perfect spot for young children.
Battery Kemble Park

It’s a very nice park with some lovely trails along a small stream. Unfortunately it is often overtaken by irresponsible dog owners that let their dogs off leash. A dog on a leash here is rare, and it does often feel unsafe to take small children here. Many dogs do not listen to their owners when called, so this is an accident waiting to happen.
