Morris Arboretum & Gardens of the University of Pennsylvania is a beautiful area to explore near Philadelphia, PA. The grounds are quite expansive and display a variety of plants and garden styles. You could easily spend several hours venturing through the 92- acre historic area. The only downside I would say is the pricing now at $20! I think, especially since the gardens are on the university grounds, that the pricing should be much more accessible to everyone, but I guess they need to keep it selective somehow.

Naval Aviation Monument Park is located right off the boardwalk in Virginia Beach, VA. It is a wonderful addition to the area, dedicated back in 2006. The park includes several beautifully done monuments.

Blockhouse Island has a lot to check out! It is right off of the St. Lawrence River in Brockville, Canada. There are many great spots to sit down for a picnic. They have comically huge Adirondack chairs to hang out in. The Brockville Railway Tunnel is another great place close to check out!

The National War Memorial is at Confederation Square in Canada's capital, Ottawa, nearby the Parliament building. The memorial is home to the Unknown Soldier and guards switch off shift every hour. The National War Memorial is a beautiful tribute to those Canadians who have fought and sacrificed so much.

The Old Mill Park is located in Moscow, PA. The parking and the trail are on two separate sides of the road, but there are signs directing you to the beginning of the trail. It is pretty buggy in the area, so come prepared. I would also recommend good footwear because of some muddy areas, as well as some stones/roots sticking out of the ground. All together, a very nice set of trails to venture through!
