Who knew there was a ski mountain so close to lake George? Now I do. This was a terrific family ski area. To be honest we only ended up going here because we snoozed and Gore mountain tix sold out president day weekend. But we didn’t feel bad. This place was great for my 4 year old! Who struggled down the bunny slope. But loved the tubing. I recommend reserving everything as far in advance as possible. I only found out there was another lodger/side of the mountain after I left.

I’ve passed this place maybe 500 times on the way to mountain creek, parents house, etc. Finally decided to stop in here for lunch. Really nice place! Very decent Irish food! Some very nice local NJ ipa options. Decently crowded for 1pm on a Friday. Corned beef was awesome.

A highlight of bandelier park for sure! Part of the quickest, easiest, most rewarding hike here. Came here on a holiday, late in the day, and it was not very crowded at all. Lots of people in the parking lot. But not too many on the trails to ruin it for me. Seems like some vandals ruined some sections recently.

Cool visitor center with a little museum too. Came here to get my $25 park ticket since the machine at the gate wouldn’t take my card no matter how many times i swiped it (and in different directions too). Anyway. Everyone was polite as park rangers. And there was a cool 3D map of the park with buttons to light up trails.

A perfect 1.7 mile loop which begins right behind the restrooms which are right behind the visitor center. Starts off flat. But then heads up into some of the cliff dwellings, which have lasers and narrows passages. Took me, my wife and fussy, sometime “a rock” toddler about 1.5 hours. With lots of stops. And few tantrums.
