Conveniently located next to a large parking lot. Service was on the slow side though the server was friendly and courteous. I took two apps to try for lunch and while the mussels were good I was disappointed by the mushroom arancini. Nothing like I’ve ever had before in other restaurants. These were like fried giant meatballs. Dense, dry and hard…. I addressed this and I was reassured there’s rice and mushrooms and no meat but I definitely didn’t taste or “feel” rice. They resembled meatballs. I had to cut them up and soak in the mussel wine sauce to eat them and in the end couldn’t finish them.

Very good fried calamari, penne was tasty but the pizza was extremely disappointing… the dough was dry and hard though the sauce and toppings were good. We also had carrot cake (recommended by our server) which was good. A bit on the pricy side for the quality.

First time dining at this establishment. I’ve been to several different afghani restaurants in the GTA over the years and I was excited to try this place. They didn’t have barg which is my go-to dish so I had their beef tikka dinner plate. Beef was tender and grilled nicely but it lacked something in flavour, the rice was softer/overcooked than most basmati rice I’ve eaten in the past. The salad was fresh and their naan was what you’d expect, made to order and warm. I couldn’t tell if the hot sauce is made in-house or from a jar.

What a lovely resto! Friendly and speedy service, cozy atmosphere and tasty food. We enjoyed everything we ordered. 😋 I usually prefer salad dressing on the side but our server reassured me it won’t be drenched and it would be better if the dressing is “massaged into” the kale and she was right! The salad was perfectly dressed and I’m glad she let us know. The pizza was really well made. 👍🏻

4 stars because there’s a surcharge to pay with credit & bacon in the pasta sauce was fatty and soft (personal preference is extra crispy which I realize is not possible in pasta sauce unless it’s sprinkled on top…)

Pizza tasted great. Lost 1 star because the slices weren’t cut evenly (some big and some very small), the middle of the pie was stretched thin but thick around the edges and also there could have been more toppings spread to the crust. Otherwise all good and will go back again.

Edit: reduced from 4 to 2 stars after three back-to-back unpleasant experiences. In each visit I has placed my order online. By default they tell you to come pick up in 20 mins. Upon arrival at the store I was told they need extra time (10-20min on top of their standard 20min). No apology they simply say “X more minutes”. From what I observed they were not busy. Most recently half of the pizza was so greasy the bottom of the pizza became so soggy it wasn’t enjoyable. It even left a grease stain on my trunk cover. Pics attached. I’ll not be going back to this location again.
