Impressive views! We took a “crystal” cabin but don’t think it added better views (kids thought it was fun, though). 94 degrees F with 60% humidity was tolerable with good cloud cover.

My advice: make sure you get a commitment on coaching support before you agree to join them. If they have full control and commitment to your kids, you will probably have a good experience (as some of our school’s older teams).

My impression is that they take on more responsibility than they are actually able to handle, and there will be some teams that will receive sub-optimal resource allocation. Our team was clearly determined from the start (without our consent or notification) to be a low priority, so 1) our assigned practice field was given to a different IFC team (also, without our consent or notification) and we were expected to use vacated non-reserved space, 2) the IFC practice day coaching support was either an unsupervised teenager (pleasant but unengaged), or a shared adult coach (about 2/3 of the time) typically spending the vast majority of their time with another team at the same time, 3) no game day support, 4) my feedback (as a full time parent participant in practices and games) was flatly ignored repeatedly (eg from simple requests such as teaching a single rule during a practice to suggestions of developmental needs for their teenage youth coach) 5) communication is below standard, 6) no apologies or acknowledging error. Rather than listen to my concerns and collaborate in their self-determined role as part-time participants in our team, they decided to back out. Frankly, as a lay-person coach, I was able to provide more directed instruction to our team and individual kids in the single practice we had without IFC, than our 6 prior practices combined with IFC.
