The Grillroom is always a lovely experience. Food is well portioned, albeit pricey. Service and atmosphere were excellent. Restaurants was extremely accommodating to our requests and really enhanced a special occasion.

Beautiful setting on the Umhlanga promenade. Sadly, this is a restaurant that should not be serving Italian food. Toasted sandwiches and chips with drinks while you are on the beach would be great. The chef can not make a basic pomodoro sauce. Fruti de mare had a seafood cocktail out of a packet. Chicken with mushroom and white wine was overpowering with mushrooms and wine not cooked through.
Servers were attentive and pleasant.

Went on a Sunday afternoon so was quieter and a more relaxed vibe. Food was great, service a bit confused but a good experience overall.
