Based on prior reviews, I was hoping for a 5 star experience. It was not so. Mostly due to untrained staff and cleanliness. The hostess, who would not crack a smile or say anything, while wearing gym clothing and chewing gum, led us to the table. The table, despite being clean was very sticky. The dusty, plastic plant on the table did not help.
We were given glasses of water, but the server held the glasses from the top, putting her fingers on the edge. Quite unsanitary.
The salad we ordered, was not a salad. It had mozzarella and 2 sliced strawberries, with a paltry amount of lettuce.
The mussels were a generous portion and delicious.
The waitress had a similar attitude to the hostess and exuded a sense that Kindle was the last place she wanted to be. Not someone who should be in the hospitality business.
On the hygiene side, we noted there were several flies buzzing around the front window, where we were seated. Very unpleasant. A trip to the bathroom showed dead bugs in the light, a very worn mirror frame and huge amounts of dust on the frame itself. Although the vibe of the place appears nice, the overall sense is one of management that is not doing the right thing in terms of training and cleanliness.

Fresh, clean and friendly place that offers all types of food. Enjoyed a couple of focaccie and the service was friendly and quick. A real gem for the neighborhood.

Absolutely fascinating building, tour, guide and history. A must-see when in Newport. Learn about Washington's letter to the congregation and think about that letter (assuring Jews' wellbeing and safety) within today's experience.

Delicious food, gracious service and real value. Just had the Chicken Chipotle. Delicious and generous portion that brought a smile to my lips.
ACT of Connecticut
What a delightful experience! Was really impressed with the caliber of the actors, lighting, sound, staff, venue - top notch and a real surprise. Nice to have this close in Ridgefield. This is a new jewel for the area and we look forward to attending many more performances!
