Los Cerritos Center
2024 Jul 01
As malls around the nation continue to and shutter, some seem to thrive and expand. Los Cerritos has a great combination of shops and dining to entice the masses to its center. Clean, bright, safe and inviting are the key factors that make this location a hit. The parking can be a little though here if you arrive later afternoon on a weekend, so be prepared to search high and low or park very far away., it gets busy. The only downside I found was the seating. Most great malls have plenty of seating throughout the mall, this one does not. They have a great amount of seating on the east side, but the south and west side are sparse in seating offerings. This is a huge factor for me and many others who suffer from, you go in that shop for 30 min while I rest out here! syndrome. Once they add more seating in the wide open areas, like you can see from one of my photos, then it will be GREAT.
Panda Express

It’s a Panda Express location… Nothing better, nothing worse. Just Panda and all of the standard Panda Express food you know and with either love, or hate. They are most definitely NOT true classic and authentic Chinese food. It is VERY Americanized and bland on flavor and bite. But, that what they are known for. It’s Chinese style American made fast food with basic decor and flavors. They recently had some price hikes and are slowly working their way to a price point where real authentic will be the go-to over them hands down. The Orange Chicken is 75% breading and doesn’t really have an authentic mandarin orange kick and bite orange chicken lovers, love….. The Fried rice has no real flavor and the chow mien seems to be a bit too oily for a good taste palette. The Kung Pao is not bad, but the chicken is fatty. This goes for the chicken in general, including the teriyaki chicken. They used to serve the teriyaki sauce hot, not you get in a packet at room temp. Big loss in the points section on this review. The sad thing is, the sauce had the most flavor out of everything else… So you be the judge. But spending $25 on a couple of plates of basic fast food American Chinese is a real, HARD PASS, net time we are thinking Chinese for lunch in the area. From picture, you can see, this place is NOT crowded and low in customers who feel the change like I do…. * PIC taken at 12:30 on a Friday lunch rush on a busy road in the middle of a shopping strip mall… *
California Pizza Kitchen at Santa Ana

California Pizza Kitchen is a classic restaurant chain that remains pretty consistent with it’s quality and service. If you have a choice between here and the alternitive next door, Applebee’s, save yourself the heartache and lost money… CPK hands down.
Welcomed in. Clean and fun atmosphere. Easy order. Food was presented as advertised and requested. The plating was on point! Hats off to kitchen staff. Appetizer was the dumplings and they did not disappoint. The pizza and salad combo was a great choice and came in at a strong 8.5 out of 10. The king Pao spaghetti with chicken was a delicious choice and was packed with flavor and had a generous portion of chicken. Paired well with the house bread and oil at table. Desert was a true treat. The Key Lime Pie was a fantastic bite with plenty of scrumptious key lime flavor. The chocolate soufflé was a delight with a scoop of vanilla ice cream nestled on top of a chocolate soufflé pillow in the middle of chocolate sauce.. Like an heavenly island in the flavor sea of life. Sabrina was a fantastic server with a refreshing and pleasant personality. Great location, great food…. That’s what you deserve, thats what you get.

Upscale dining at it’s finest in Orange County. Quaintly attached to the South Coast Mall, this little gem is a place you don’t easily forget. They have seating in both the dining and bar areas with plenty of ambiance and old world barrel winery charm. The service is top notch and the food doesn’t disappoint. On this particular business meeting visit, we indulged in a few appetizers, drinks and fantastic entrees… Don’t think we forgot about dessert. They have a palithera of delicious choices to choose from when it comes to appetizers and drinks. Always have their amazing Old Fashion and glasses of flavorful wine. We also chose the Pesto Chicken flatbread pizza and slow roasted meatballs. For lunch we chose the Wood-grilled filet mignon with delectable sides of mashed potatoes and broccolini. Not only was it mouthwatering and exquisite, it cut like butter with it’s soft and juicy texture. The steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection, everytime! Hats off to the chef and staff. Even though we were packed to the gills with goodness and deliciousiness, we had to have dessert. They have a scrumptious array of tantalizing treats in a small glass vessel for you mouth and eyes enjoyment. From the Keylime Pie, to The Oreo Cookie, Pecan topped caramel Turtle, a chocolate double chocolate something or another yum! .. We had to try them all.
This place does NOT disappoint.
