We've been a customer for decades. Best Italian restaurant around. Great for 2 or for large group.

Nice ambiance, great staff, and wonderful owner. Food is delicious. Cozy bar. Extensive menu and wine list. Prices reasonable. Service is customized to what you want, i.e. quick in and out or casually paced.

We go there for special occasions. It's always a joy when we go.
This was primarily a visit to Bull Run Regional Park to walk the Bluebell Trail. The trail is a great, easy 2 mile hike along the Bull Run and Cub Run Rivers.

The April day was gorgeous and the bluebells were in full bloom. The hike itself is virtually level the entire length with a few wooden walkways over potentially wet areas. The bluebells were wonderful as well as the many other wildflowers in the area.

Quite a few folks and dogs were about but it was not crowded. Parking is ample but with the good number of people it was limited on the day. There was a special Easter egg hunt set up, so a fair number of kids were around.

A very nice walk, especially during bluebell season.
Nice, fairly new winery in Virginia. Large grounds with picturesque setting and ample parking. Many outside tables plus some covered and inside sitting areas.

We tasted 6 wines, 3 white and 3 red. The whites were average, but the reds were very good, in particular the Meritage.

We then ordered a bottle of the Meritage plus a made-to-order pizza (which was very good with a crispy crust) and sat at one of the outside benches to soak up the sunshine and scenery.

Staff at the tasting counter were very friendly. They had a good guitarist as entertainment. Probably would rate at 4 1/2 stars with the average whites but give benefit of good reds, etc. and went with a 5. Worth a visit.
Good Spirit Farm

Great, newly-opened winery. Good wines, good food and great views.

We tried 8 wines and they were all good to excellent. Four wines were"guest wines" as they really haven't used their own production just yet. The 4 Good Spirit Farm wines are blended with local Loudoun/VA grown grapes. To start them in the right direction they are getting help from Walsh Family Winery.

They have a small but very tasty food selection. We tried the burrata and the pretzel bites.

The owners were there and are very nice. The tasting room is very spacious and they also have event rooms. The outside deck gives way to a wonderful sun-drenched vista to the southwest.

Well worth a visit. We will be back.
Very nice microbrewery tucked away along a dirt road near Purcellville. Good beers - we tried 8 of them - we liked the Gnarly Boar Pale Ale best. The Ol' Man Winter Ale at 8% was also a hit. The hard seltzers were just ok.

Staff were very friendly. The setting and building are quite rustic. Good outdoor seating area with a play area for kids.

Decent food selections. We tried the nachos and pizza which were quite good. The live entertainment was fine.

The microbrewery is off the beaten track but it's worth the trek.
