I was attending a gala for a choral group named The Thirteen. It had been some time since I had visited the Club as a guest. It remains a lovely establishment. The food items provided to guests at the gala were wonderful and tastefully presented. Club personnel were unfailingly pleasant. The valet staff were especially friendly in their welcome and efficient in bringing the car to us at the end of the evening.

Terrific venue for special events. Close to beltway and Forest Glen Metro. Plenty of parking in back and on side. Well laid-out. Docked a star because fountain Diet Coke was off some, and should be more closely monitored.

Attended an introductory course on AIM, principles of community radio, and procedures for becoming a content provider. The course is ably presented by Jackie Steven, who provides great background on the growing concentration in media ownership which has made community broadcasting so essential. AIM is an important organization and well worth financial support from individuals as well as Arlington County (which tried to cut support for it in its annual budget).
