Best Pinacoteca in Europe, better than the Louvre and the National Gallery. Huge collection of the best painters of the world. Don't miss it
An impressive collection of art with good bilingual (Italian and English) explanations on all. Exhibits.
Certainly worth a visit.

Incredible museum that hosts an unbelievably large collection of Italian art, including Caravaggio, Tintoretto, Mategna, Veronese and Raffaello, among many others. An absolute must if you love art, I recommend booking in advance to skip the crowds and spending at least two or three hours here to get a comprehensive view of the most notable artworks.
This was the highlight to our trip to Rome. The highlight is the vestal virgin Tuccia, a marble statue carved in 1743, which is incredible. The transucent marble was carved so thin that the light shines through it like a veil. It cost 13 euros/person to enter the museum. The museum is on two floors and the staircases are wide, winding and long. There is an elevator if the climb is too much. Another fun feature is that the palm trees in the front yard had nesting parrots.
One of the most beautiful buildings which you have to visit. Full of paintings and antics Doria pamphili gallery is one of the most iconic places in Rome.
Most of the displays are between the 1200 - 1800 so it's great for observing how paintings have changed throughout the years
Breathtaking! Get lost in the history of this place, feast your eyes on some amazing architecture, enjoy the numerous paintings and sculptures by various artists and don't forget to sit down in the beach chairs to look at the most formidable fresco! Worth every euro ❤️

Buy your ticket in advance in case the card machine doesn't have reception. You are not allowed to take any bags/ drinks with you, so make sure you're hydrated!
We didn’t pay to see the exhibition as the Caravaggio was on tour, also the Tudor paintings (Inc the Henry VIII) but we did walk around the grounds (you can walk out the back) and saw the back garden, some statues, and lots of bee plaque sculptures placed on columns and walls. Lovely building, and don’t miss the spiral staircase through a doorway on the right hand side as you go in the entrance. Costs nothing to check it all out.
While not as star studded as Firenze's Uffizi, there are some stand out paintings. Francesco Francia was a revelation. And his style so close to that of Raphael, who followed him so closely in time that he was eclipsed before he had his period of fame. I had not seen his work before and it is worth taking time to see this gallery just so that you can see how close to the greats he was. Also Raphael. Parmigiano. Many more.
This was a beautiful galleria. It has spectacular original art, carved statues, luminescent arched ceilings, chandeliers, and so much more. It took me to that place in history when it once was like that. I imagined being dressed in a ornate gown of that era sipping on some tea and conversing with the other debutantes. It was a lovely experience. A taste of history, blessed with art, and every detail that lavishes the senses. It's worth a visit. I bought a ticket online and went closer to closing. It wasn't as busy then, so I really had the chance to take photos and indulge with my imagination. I highly recommend it. If my review has helped you please like and follow me for more adventures. 🥂🍾 Arrividerci! Y Grazie...
Frederik’s work is nothing short of incredible , he’s an amazing talent and a great person. Be sure to visit his gallery.
Such a beautiful and amazing experience! Be sure to take the audio guide when you enter the gallery. We spent around 3 hours listening to all the explanations for all the paintings there. This is a place were we would visit again! Totally worth it!
Had the pleasure of stumbling upon this studio walking down the south side of the river heading west towards Pointe Alle Grazie on my way to Pointe Vecchio. The styles you'll find here are vast, using mediums like metal sheets to paint on with grinded out spots for really interesting texture. Some of my other favorites used plaster that is either shaped and painted to be golden flowers or layered onto a painting and carved into. So many captivating pieces of art. Several I could see hanging in my future home. Stop by if you can, the artists were so welcoming and a delight to talk with.
A mesmerizing collection of Italian art across the centuries with masterworks by Parmigianino, Raphael, Ludovico Carracci, Prospero Fontana, Lorenzo Costa, Tintoretto and Guercino, to name just some of my particular favorites. Also a bunch of Guido Reni paintings which are contemptible but people love his stuff so who am I to say?

Someone with good taste, in fact! 😂😂😂

The museum itself is a fascinating blend of modern architecture and the re-used spaces of what I believe was a convent but don’t quote me on that.

Well with at least 3 or 4 hours of your time some real stunning works that reward a dedicated look. The Ludovico Carracci paintings are truly stunning he was far more inventive and beguiling than Annibale’s often stilted and clumsy classicism.

As mentioned, skip the Renis.
This is a compact gallery that I stumbled across while exploring the back streets around the Duomo. Frederik, the artist, does a good range of work in both oil and watercolour. He's been commissioned to do larger works, but if you want a little memento of Firenze then he has a good selection of pieces that are (in my opinion) more skilfully executed than those from the ubiquitous street artists.
Bella galleria, ben frequentata. Belle mostre
Frederik is such a talented and kind person. It has been two years since I bought a painting from him, I look at it every single day and its beauty still amazes me :-).
Piccola galleria d'arte ma molto carina e quadri fantastici.......roberto gentile e competente
I had a day in Florence and my friend told me to go here. I was not dissapointed. They were really nice to me and gave me coffe, showed me around, and we had a nice conversation. Really pleasant people! I wanted to buy a picture so Robert and I took a look at a few paintings. Highly recommended to go there! One of the highlights in Florence :)
We wish we could give Roberto and the team MORE than 5 STARS.

We arrived to the gallery late on Saturday night, and found that the gallery was closed. As other reviewer suggested, we called the phone number on the door and Roberto answered and promised to be there in 5 minutes to open the gallery just for us on a Saturday night!

After walking into the gallery, we could immediately notice the incredible pieces of art, but even more so, the warming, modest, welcoming personality of Roberto. He greeted us to the gallery and let us explore as you would want to explore in a art gallery. No rush, no pressure to buy, what we felt was his thankfulness for appreciating his work.

After sometime at the galley, my wife and I fell in love with 2 of the paintings. We decided to purchase 1 large piece, but felt we can’t miss the opportunity to own 2 paintings of the artists. Roberto made a fair offer for us to buy the 2nd painting, and as other suggested in the reviews, we purchased 2 paintings to take back to our home in NYC.

We left our shipping information, a credit card number for billing the shipping costs, and left thinking how great it is to own paintings of Roberto and the team, but even more so, how lucky we were to meet Roberto.

About 4 weeks later, we received the painting in NYC. The painting were packed professionally, clean, and they even put hanging rings for us.

We could not imagine a better memory from our visit in Florence.

Thank you!
