Nice staff, variety on the menu. Gluten free friendly. Wasn't the most memorable meal honestly. But it was a nice evening in a nice restaurant. It's a very tourist friendly place, offering Mexican food in an fancy twist. So you're paying more. We sat upstairs. I think I'd prefer downstairs. The image attached is of the chicken tortilla soup (not a must have).
Wonderful experience, tasty food, great ambience and excellent service. You can try many of the local specialties.
We walked in late in the evening and were greeted with friendly host and waiters. The classic enchiladas is a must try here. The tomato sauce is so thick and creamy. Their hibiscus enchiladas is also an interesting twist. We really enjoyed our dining experience and can recommend. 😊
One of the best experiences in food in Mexico City. The service Imeldo our server provided was amazing. The food great and tasty. Highly recommended
Food generally was OK, but my main course was literally inedible. Others were fairly satisfied but not impressed with their meals. Unacceptable for the price. Atmosphere was great overall. Cool space. Service was barely acceptable. Servers were efficient but totally disinterested and robotic until it came time for the check, and then they forgot about us. I thought it was obnoxious that the server when eventually presenting my bill assumed I would pay a 15% tip, solid for Mexico. With the cold service we got, no thanks. Very disappointing experience for this restaurant that has so much potential. This was our fancy big meal out in Mexico City, and I regret it. I think they are riding on former accolades and the lovely physical space.
Overall our experience was disappointing. I will start off by saying that the margaritas were delicious - we tried the hibiscus, cucumber, and mango varieties and they were all very good. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing, especially the walls with the candles and religious statues. The service was decent and our server was friendly and attentive.
Having said all that, the food was really bland and not even remotely worth the prices. We ordered the guacamole and chicharrones to start. The chicharrones were fine but you can get this type anywhere from a street vendor. The guacamole was bland and definitely not freshly prepared - it was really smooth and reminded us of something store-bought rather than made in the kitchen. The mole sauce on the enchiladas was far too sweet for our taste. We ordered the duck fritters which were ok, there was only a tiny amount of duck meat in them; they were very expensive, and in our opinion not worth the price whatsoever. We also ordered the pork tamales which were ok but again really nothing special. We skipped dessert because we didn’t want to risk being disappointed again. It really is a shame that the food was so disappointing, as we had cancelled another reservation in order to visit Azul. I wish we could have better things to say about the food we ordered, but it really missed the mark and don’t recommend this restaurant at all.

This is the finest restaurant in Condesa. The hand made multi-corn tortillas we absolutely the best I’ve ever had. Azul is a must try in CDMX.
Definitely a superior experience. What great food and service is perfection. Lots of attention when you want it without it being invasive 👌. Mole with roasted duck is highly recommended!
