The sashimi piece on top of the nigiri is larger than most traditional sushi so it’s a happy place here. Service is good too. Only thing is the place is hidden and a little hard to find. It’s on the back side of a building down a steep parking lot hill.
My brother has been hyping this place up for months, we finally got to go tonight and it was the best sushi i have ever had. Absolutely incredible. It being a Friday night it took a while to get sat and we spent about 2.5 hours there as the food took a while to get to us. Would go through a wait like that again for this sushi. I’m super impressed, highly recommend.
Portions were good. Prices reasonable. Sushi was great. Big slices of fish. Really liked the yaki udon for the kids as well. We will be going back often. We went during the lunch rush and would like to try dinner also. We were seated at a little table in an alcove and it was cozy and nice atmosphere. Kids liked the fish tank and the bridge inside.
Best sushi ever! Salmon, yellowtail were both so good. Friendly, family run business. We sat at the bar and appreciated their attentiveness. Lots of delicious fresh sushi options or a there’s a menu to order food other than sushi. My husband loved the Chirashi Bowl.
Over 40 years historic traditional Japanese restaurant vibe with cute decorations and photos by entrance. Very popular local Japanese restaurant for lunch and dinner. Strongly recommend the bar for dining alone or small group. Fast and experience services and very delicious food. Pretty thick portion sashimi and chirashi sushi.
There are some great Japanese restaurants in Atlanta but this is not one of them. The service was very slow but the worst part was the food. I ordered the the tempura and negima combo. The negima was a fun try and was the best part of my meal, although it wasn't fantastic by any means. I normally love tempura vegetables, but the ones here were quite odd. Mine included broccoli and zucchini, definitely not traditional Japanese. My partner ordered the chirashi and was disappointed. The fish was cut super thick so it was very strange to eat. Also the rice was missing the sushi vinegar. All of this lackluster food for a over $30 a meal. The quality of the food wasn't quite there for the price point.
Been hear twice already this year.
My husband and I 1st came here almost 10 yrs ago.
It was our favorite spot to come on special occasions.
Now we can come on regular basis and the food is still amazing.
Fresh sushi, they actually fried the tempura fresh right before they roll into sushi.
Once you try it, you will not go to other sushi places because you now know what fresh taste like.
The price is very reasonable.
Super busy on the weekends. Weekdays might be less wait.

I could see why they have been around for 30+ years! Everything we ate was fresh and as you heard it from others, the sushi portions are very generous! The cowboy hat was like a very sweet/savory dessert to end our meal. My curiosity got the better of me, but I enjoyed it. We sat at the sushi bar and next to a candid but positively hilarious group. The servers are very polite and helpful in recommendations. My favorite bite(s) was the Hamachi sushi. You will not find another place like this... the decor transport you back to the early 90s. Just come here at least once to experience it yourself :)
