Roar

This place is very unique and probably a must see for anyone wanting a blast from the past. We tried to order take out breakfast but after multiple calls with a lovely front desk who kept trying to put us through we gave up and drove and picked up instead. I expected the restaurant to be swamped, but there were only two tables seated. In any case we placed the order and it took less than ten minutes. The food was good, poached eggs had too much vinegar in the water but otherwise very good.

Loved the open kitchen concept with relaxing and cozy atmosphere. Our server was friendly and attentive just enough to meet our needs. My coffee mug's been never empty. Would like to stay at the hotel next time so we can dine here again.

You know that happy dance you can’t help but do after you take the first bite? I couldn’t stop dancing the entire meal! The bacon cheddar waffle was truly one of the top 3 best things I have ever eaten in my life! Jay helped us out and she was sweet as pie making the entire experience top notch! Great vibes, GREAT food, an absolute must check out if you are ever lucky enough to visit Tofino!

Everything was exceptional! Overall a fantastic experience sitting outside in the woods by fire pits. The crispy duck and chicken were both amazing. The miso scallops are very unique preparation, brie cheese comes with tasty jam and fruit nut crackers.

We had our first date night in Tofino at Roar and were fortunate to be seated very close to both the garden view as well as the kitchen area so we could see the chefs in action. The food was delicious and the wine options were great.

For the wine we went for Syncromesh Riesling.

After the meal we stepped outside and sat in the garden and a fire was lit up for us. We were also offered some fleece blankets to keep warm and served some more wine. Service was exceptional and we'd love to come by again on the next visit.

Sitting at the Kitchen bar was fabulous. We chatted with Chef Jeff and saw how the dishes are made and plated.
The food was all exquisite especially the Smores desert whi h was gone before we thought to take a picture!

Hotel Zed review

I found myself sitting here at the Hotel Z restaurant…Roar. It’s crisp and clean with a hint of rustic flare. A beautiful patio awaits you along with the brilliant smile of your server. Service was great the food was very good… in fact impeccable. Very happy vibes here … definitely recommend.

Ones of the best dining experiences of my life. Our server Mike was knowledgeable, friendly, and gave just the right amount of attention. His suggestions were spot on. HIGHLY recommend this jewel. The aged rib eye platter was beyond expectations. Already planning my next meal!
